This year for Father’s Day I decided that I wanted to do something different with my husband and kids.

The kids and I decided to ambush the poor Mister and take him out on a family hike.

As a family we went to the local Falls area and hiked for like 5 miles. IT WAS AMAZING! My husband wanted to stay home and play Xbox I am sure, however he was such a trooper and it is something that our kids will remember for a long time.

Instead of writing all about it, I have decided to just let our amazing photographs tell the story.

It was such a beautiful day, it’s hard to believe that on the last quarter mile it down poured so hard that we had to literally run to the truck to dry off.

I think that we should make this a yearly tradition. It would be neat to just plan to hike on Father’s Day. I am not sure how The Mister will feel about that, however he lives by the mantra “Happy wife, happy life.”
